“《QTin》 English edition, a devotional guiding many souls to Jesus Christ, restoring the broken families, and reviving the church”국내외에 계신 외국인 독자분들과 영어성경으로 말씀을 묵상하고 싶은 분들을 위해 《큐티인》 영문판이 종이책과 eBook으로 발간되었습니다. 《QTin》은 성경을 구속사적으로 읽기 원하고, 성경적 가치관으로 변화되기 원하는 청장년층을 대상으로 하는 월간 말씀묵상지입니다.
《큐티인》 한글판은 2012년 창간된 후로 지난 10년간 수많은 영혼을 구원으로 이끌고, 깨어진 가정을 중수하며, 교회를 부흥시킨 말씀묵상지입니다. 성경의 원리를 삶의 전반에 적용시켜 복음 안에서 경건한 성도의 삶을 추구할 수 있도록 구속사적인 ‘본문해설’을 제공하고, 그날의 큐티 본문에 근거한 평신도들의 진솔한 묵상과 회개와 적용이 담긴 ‘간증’이 매일 수록되어 있습니다. 보다 깊이 있는 공동체 큐티나눔을 위한 ‘소그룹 큐티 나눔’(Group QT Sharing)을 통해 청 또한 장년층의 영적 성장을 돕습니다.
큐티엠(큐티선교회, Quiet Time Movement)에서는 장년에서부터 청소년, 어린이, 영유아에 이르기까지 모든 세대가 한 말씀으로 날마다 묵상하는 것을 돕고자 2013년에는 《청소년 큐티인》을, 2014년에는 초등학생을 위한 《어린이 큐티인》을 차례로 창간한 바 있으며, 여기에도 청소년과 어린이 필자들의 생생한 묵상간증이 실려 있습니다. 그리고 2016년 1월에는 미취학 아동을 위한 《새싹 큐티인》을 창간하여 전 세대가 같은 말씀으로 묵상하도록 돕고 있습니다.
더불어 영어권에 있는 해외 독자들의 수요가 점점 늘어남에 따라 2019년 9월에는 영문판 《QTin》이 eBook으로 창간되었고, 2020년 1월부터는 종이책으로도 발간되고 있습니다. 《QTin》은 국내외 독자들에게 구속사적인 말씀묵상 운동을 전하고자 40여 명의 필진과 편집부가 섬기고 있습니다. 《QTin》을 통해 한국뿐만 아니라 해외에서도 성도가 살아나고, 가정이 회복되며, 교회가 새롭게 되는 열매가 맺히기를 기대합니다.
《QTin》 English edition has been published in the form of a paper book and an eBook for those who live in the country and abroad, who wish to meditate on Scripture. 《QTin》 is a monthly devotional press release for adults who wish to read the Bible with a perspective of redemptive history, and to change their perspectives into spiritual ones.
《QTin》, issued by QTM (Quiet Time Movement) in 2012, was first a devotional book with a scriptural interpretation based on redemptive history and the personal testimonies of about sixty laypersons of the church. While monthly publishing with those testimonies and stories for Wooridle Church members, from January 2018, 《QTin》 4-piece series has been on sale at the public bookstores nationwide due to the increase in subscribers outside the church and even in Korea.
To help all generations to meditate on the Word of God every day, QTM has published 《QTin Teens》 (Korean) in 2013, 《QTin Kids》 (Korean) in 2014, and 《QTin Sprouts》 (Korean) in 2016 with the vivid testimonies from the readers, both kids and parents.
Moreover, the increasing number of readers and subscribers from outside Korea, mainly from the English-speaking world, the English 《QTin》 has been published in the form of an eBook since September 2019, and started as a paper book in January 2020. QTM is devoted to spreading the QT movement to guide a soul to Jesus Christ, restore many broken families, and revive the church.

“제게는 대학생인 큰딸과 지적장애인인 작은딸이 있습니다. 큰딸은 어릴 때 성격이 활발하여 학교생활을 적극적으로 했는데, 초등학교 고학년이 되면서 소극적으로 변했습니다. 동생을 치료실에 데리고 다니느라 바쁜 엄마의 빈자리가 커졌기 때문입니다. 둘째를 챙기느라 늘 지쳐 있던 저는 첫째의 마음을 헤아리기보다 딸의 친구들을 단속하고 시험 점수를 검사하며 예배의 자리를 지키길 강요했습니다. 이윽고 성인이 된 큰딸은 믿지 않는 남자친구와 사귀면서 외박을 했습니다. 이를 못마땅히 여긴 저는 딸의 불신不信교제를 끊어주시길 기도했지만 달라지는 건 없었습니다. 그제야 체면과 인정에 목말라 금식하는 바리새인이 바로 저라는 것을 알게 되었습니다(18절). 저는 오랜 기간 시부모님에게 ‘장애아를 낳은 건 며느리 탓’이라는 미움을 받
았습니다. 그러나 말씀을 묵상하며 저의 인정중독을 깨닫고 회개했습니다. 그리고 저의 낡은 가죽 부대와 같은 옛 가치관을 모두 버린 줄 알았습니다(22절). 그러나 여전히 사람들에게 큰딸의 변화된 모습을 보여줌으로 사람들에게 인정받으려 한다는 걸 알게 되었습니다. 이후 불신교제를 하는 딸을 정죄한 것을 회개하는 나눔을 딸에게 SNS로 보냈습니다. 그러자 기숙사에서 지내는 딸도 마음문을 열고 저와 통화하는 시간이 점점 길어졌습니다. 그러다 저는 교회 전도축제를 앞두고 큰딸에게 남자친구를 공동체에 데려오라고 했습니다. 그러자 딸은 그 말을 꺼냈다가 남자친구와 갈등이 생길까 봐 염려하고 두려워했습니다. 그럼에도 딸은 공동체의 기도에 힘입어 남자친구를 전도했습니다. 앞으로는 두 사람이 믿음 안에서 교제하며 구원의 새 가치관을 세워가길 기도합니다(22절).” (김지연) - 《큐티인》 2월 4일 묵상간증 중에서
“I have an older daughter who is a college student and a younger daughter with intellectual disabilities. My older daughter had a lively personality when young and actively participated in school life, but became passive from upper elementary school. This was because the empty space of a busy mother taking the younger sister to therapy became large. I, who was always exhausted taking care of the second daughter, rather than understanding the first daughter’s heart, controlled my daughter’s friends, checked test scores, and forced her to keep the place of worship. Soon my older daughter, who became an adult, dated an unbelieving boyfriend and stayed out overnight. Displeased with this, I prayed for God to cut off my daughter’s unbelieving relationship, but nothing changed. Only then did I realize that I was the Pharisee fasting while thirsting for appearance and recognition (v. 18). I received hatred from my in-laws for a long period saying “giving birth to a disabled child is the daughter-in-law’s fault.” However, while meditating on God’s word, I realized my addiction to recognition and repented. And I thought I had discarded all old values like my old leather wineskins (v. 22). However, I came to know that I was still trying to be recognized by people by showing my older daughter’s changed appearance to people. After that, I sent my daughter via SNS a sharing of repenting for condemning her for having an unbelieving relationship. Then my daughter living in the dormitory also opened her heart, and the time talking with me gradually lengthened. Then before the church evangelism festival, I told my older daughter to bringher boyfriend to the church community. Then my daughter worried and feared that conflict might arise with her boyfriend if she brought up those words. Nevertheless, my daughter evangelized her boyfriend empowered by the community’s prayers. I pray that going forward, the two people will fellowship within faith and establish new values of salvation (v. 22).” (Jeeyeon Kim)

“모태신앙인이지만 당장 눈앞의 문제를 해결해주는 남편을 구원자로 여기며 결혼과 동시에 교회를 떠났습니다. 그러다 남편에게 외면당하고, 쌀이 떨어지고 가스가 끊기는 가난을 겪으면서 동생의 인도로 예배를 회복하게 되었습니다. 그러나 알코올의존증에 의처증이 있던 아버지를 그토록 미워했는데, 저 역시 그대로 닮아 알코올의존자이자 의부증 환자가 되었습니다. 매일 남편의 휴대폰 통화 내역과 문자메시지를 뒤지는가 하면, 남편에게 하루에도 수십 통씩 전화를 걸기도 했습니다. 아무리 열심히 예배를 드리고 전도 집회에 참석해도 의심과 두려움의 큰 광풍이 잠잠해지지 않았습니다(37절). 남편에게 “당신이 나를 버릴까 봐 불안해요”라고 솔직히 말하면 되는데, 자존심이 상해 그러지 못했습니다. 그 대신 “3남매를 키우느라 너무 힘든데, 당신은 육아를 도와주지 않는다”며 트집을 잡고 싸움을 걸었습니다. 누구에게도 말할 수 없는 수치심에 눌려 죽어갈 무렵 저는 믿음의 공동체로 인도되었습니다. 첫 소그룹 모임 때 알코올중독이 있다고 고백하니 리더분은 “맨정신으로 어떻게 사셨겠어요”라며 위로해주셨습니다. 그리고 지체들에게 남편한테 집착하는 제 모습이 너무 싫다고 나누자 “인간의 원죄로 아내들은 남편을 사모하는 벌을 받았어요”라고 말씀으로 해석해주었습니다. 고물에서 주무시는 예수님을 깨운 제자들처럼, 이렇게 공동체에 저의 연약함을 나누다 보니 남편을 의심하는 정도가 점점 줄어들었습니다(38절). 그런데 최근 남편이 회사에서 인정하는 이사님이 이혼녀라는 사실을 알게된 후로 또다시 믿음 없이 행동하고 싶을 때가 있습니다(40절). 이런 제게 의심과 망상의 광풍을 잠잠하게 하는 방법은 큐티와 기도, 공동체 나눔으로 주님을 깨우는 것밖에 없음을 알려주시니 감사합니다(37-38절).” (최고야)

“Though a believer from birth, I regarded my husband who solved immediate problems as my savior and left church simultaneously with marriage. Then, being ignored by my husband and experiencing poverty where rice ran out and gas was cut off, I came to restore worship through my younger sibling’s guidance. However, though I hated my father who had alcohol dependence and morbid jealousy so much, I too resembled him exactly and became an alcohol-dependent person and a patient with delusional jealousy toward my husband. I searched my husband’s phone call records and text messages daily, and even called my husband dozens of times a day. No matter how diligently I attended worship and evangelism rallies, the great windstorm of doubt and fear wouldn’t become calm (v. 37). I just needed to honestly say to my husband “I’m anxious you’ll abandon me,” but my pride was hurt so I couldn’t. Instead, I picked fights saying “I’m so tired raising three children, but you don’t help with childcare.” When I was dying under shame I couldn’t tell anyone about, I was led to a church community of faith. When I confessed I had alcohol addiction at the first small group meeting, the leader comforted me saying “How could you have lived sober?” And when I shared with church members that I hated my appearance of being obsessed with my husband, they interpreted it with God’s word saying “As original sin of humans, wives received the punishment of longing for their husbands.” Like the disciples who woke Jesus sleeping in the stern, sharing my weakness with the church community, the degree of doubting my husband gradually decreased (v. 38). However, after recently learning that the director my husband’s company recognizes is a divorcee, there are times again when I want to act without faith (v. 40). I thank God for showing me that the only way to calm the windstorm of doubt and delusion is to wake the Lord through QT, prayer, and community sharing (vv. 37-38).” (Goya Choi)
